Noel Almeida

Australia has issued stamps to honour many different sports since its first sports issue in 1954 for the Melbourne 1956 Olympics, but the earliest Australian postmark with a sporting connection is the 1920 postmark of the Anzac Rifle Range near Liverpool, NSW.  Postal stationery and advertising envelopes are much older.

Noel Almeida has been involved in cover collecting for over fifty years. He carries a wide variety of Australian covers and FDC's and specialize in Australian Olympics, Cricket, Soccer and Australian Rules Football as well as Owls and Thomas Merton.
